Who can use it
Before you start

Know the screen
1
Stock value
Shows quantity and value by location using moving weighted-average cost.
2
COGS and gross profit
Compares completed-order revenue excluding GST with the cost of stock used by those sales.
Step by step
1
Check the period and location filter.
2
Review revenue, COGS, gross profit and margin together.
3
Trace an unexpected result through the linked order and stock ledger.
4
Correct the source operational record with an approved adjustment or reversal; never edit cost history silently.
Watch out
- Gross profit excludes labour, rent, payment fees, delivery commissions and other operating expenses; it is not net profit.
- Supplier catalogue price is a planning reference. Costing uses the actual cost recorded at receipt or opening stock.
